The Reno Police Department (RPD) says on Friday May 29th at 5:14 p.m. Reno Fire, REMSA and Reno Police Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
They say upon their arrival, officers learned the motorcycle was traveling south on Montello Street and was struck by an SUV traveling east on Haddock Drive.
RPD says The rider was thrown from the motorcycle sustaining serious injuries, he was then transported to Renown.
They say the 49 year old male, a Reno resident, died at the hospital.
RPD says his identity is not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin. Speed does appear to be a factor in this crash
They say the Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team is now investigating the crash.
