RTC Closes Mayberry Drive, Hunter Lake Intersection Temporarily

From the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County:

The RTC is reminding drivers about the planned, temporary closure of the intersection of Mayberry Drive and Hunter Lake Drive. The intersection will close to all traffic beginning the morning of Friday, April 17 at about 7 a.m. The intersection will re-open early the morning of Monday, April 20. The closure is necessary in order to replace components of the traffic signal at this location and make improvements.

Additionally, southbound traffic on Hunter Lake Drive will be detoured at Mayberry Drive on Wednesday, April 15 and Thursday, April 16 for NV Energy to perform upgrades. Drivers will be directed to take California Street to Ferris Lane.

The RTC has been working to replace the pavement on Mayberry Drive from Charles Drive to Hunter Lake Drive. This section of Mayberry, which was closed to all but residents, is now open again for all traffic. The project is a month ahead of schedule and will be essentially complete April 20.

This $1.1 million investment in the community will improve roadway conditions, sidewalks, curbs and gutters. It also makes the area safer and more accessible to everyone under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For updates on all projects, go to
