More than 1,200 people in northwest Reno will be affected by a planned power outage early Wednesday morning.

NV Energy says Thursday night's massive power outage across Reno was caused by a de-energized transmission line. 

NV Energy is reporting that a series of power outages affecting more than 5,000 people across Washoe County has largely been resolved.

More than 700 customers remain without power in the Lockwood area. 

According to the NV Energy outage map, thousands of customers had their power turned off during Tuesday night's Navato Fire in east Sparks. 

A power outage is affecting more than a thousand customers in Sparks.  Most of the outages are in the 89431 area code. 

North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District have some things to keep in mind for residents waiting out the storm at home.
