Electric utility Con Edison is working to figure out what caused a high-voltage equipment failure that unleashed an otherworldly flash of bright blue light in the night sky over New York City. 

NV Energy says that power has been restored for most customers in Washoe County

Liberty Utilities says repairs have been made and that power should be restored after an outage that affected casinos at Stateline in South Lake Tahoe on Monday.

According to NV Energy's Outage Center, power in Washoe County has been restored.

NV Energy has restored power to the 550 customers who lost it around 7:30 Saturday night.

NV Energy reports that around 750 residents in Lovelock were without power Tuesday night and 200 customers are still without power.

NV Energy says equipment failure is to blame for power outages in Humboldt County Monday morning. 

Fire fighters have knocked down a small fire reportedly sparked by a downed power line according to the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. According to NV Energy's Outage Center there is nearly 3,000 customers in the area without power due to an "equipment failure" nearby.
