Lombardo replaces departing Gov. Steve Sisolak, whose one term marked the first time a Democrat held the office since 1999.

In his victory speech last month, Lombardo said his administration plans to expand school choice and make school safety a priority.

Members of the Lombardo Transition Team include key government, business, and community leaders from across Nevada.

Lombardo said he spoke to Governor Sisolak who he said pledged to help with a smooth transition between administrations.
