One Nevada lawmaker who backed a bill to end capital punishment said Wednesday that the measure is not expected to cross the finish line this legislative session.

Voters in Nevada will decide on six statewide ballot questions in November, on topics ranging from energy to taxes. This week on Face the State, we heard from both sides of the debate over Nevada Ballot Question One: Marsy's Law.

The ACLU of Nevada held an open house at their Reno office today.  The goal was to educate citizens about how to make their voices heard on the current immigration situation.

The Nevada Supreme Court will hear arguments Tuesday on a ballot measure to ban sanctuary cities in the state. 

Nevada state law requires all executions to be done by lethal injection, but no states can buy the traditional drugs needed to complete the sentences.  The Nevada Department of Corrections consulted with the Chief Medical Officer and decided to carry out the execution with Diazepam, Fentanyl and Cisatracurium. 

This weekend the local chapter of the ACLU held a free clinic to help Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients renew their application.
