The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is waiving adoption fees for overlooked dogs in its shelter.

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is participating in the first "Adopt-a-Pet Day" in California, allowing folks to adopt pets free of charge.
All Northern Nevada Port of Subs locations will be participating in a fundraiser to benefit The Nevada Humane Society later this week.Â
Six more will be available next Tuesday, November 22 and the last five will be available on November 29 as some of the dogs need to be in foster care longer.Â
