A person is in the hospital after being hit by a car near Vista Blvd. and Frisco in Sparks early Thursday morning. 

Reno Police say a person has died after being struck by a car on Wednesday night.

NDOT says crews will be installing a pedestrian crossing beacon in the area.

The City of Reno installed a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon in West Reno. This type of traffic control device has only been installed in Reno one other time.

The Reno Police Department conducted pedestrian safety operations during the month of June, and have shared their results.
