The Reno Police Department (RPD) conducted pedestrian safety operations during the month of June, and have shared their results.

With the assistance of a grant from the Nevada Office of Public Safety, 13 officers with RPD performed the operations during the month of June in the downtown area.

During the operations, RPD officers gave out 103 tickets and gave 56 warnings.

Officials want to remind people that Nevada state law requires that pedestrians use sidewalks, crosswalks and pedestrian bridges and obey all signs and traffic signals.

They say a good rule of thumb for all is to "Look Up, Look Out."
