The Plumas National Forest has reduced speed limits on Forest Road 28N01 to 15 miles per hour due to safety concerns near the new Rainbow Family Gathering location.

Members of the Rainbow Family Gathering have moved to a new location about 12 miles north of Beckwourth, California.

The US Forest Service announced on Sunday that stage one fire restrictions will begin on Monday, June 24 in the Plumas National Forest.
