The Reno Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old-boy dead Sunday night.
Investigators responded to the Alder Creek Villa Apartments on Neil Rd., near Miguel Ribera Park, around 6:30 p.m.
Police say when they arrived, they found the victim of a shooting laying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers began life-saving efforts on the boy, before REMSA transported him to Renown Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are still investigating and have not named any suspects.
It is not known at this time if the shooting is gang related or not.
