Smith's Food & Drug will be hosting a Make-A-Difference Day in honor of National Hunger Month.
September 19th will mark the one-year anniversary of the launch of the Zero Hunger | Zero Waste social impact plan. Smith's, along with its parent company Kroger, will be hosting the day across all its grocery stores in Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Arizona and New Mexico.
Make-A-Difference Day will be on September 18th. Associates in stores will volunteer their time to create over 225,000 meals for hungry families. Each Smith's store will package 250 meal kits which the Food Bank of Northern Nevada will pickup to deliver.
