Our Someone 2 Know has been active member of the northern Nevada community since 1995 when he moved here to play football for UNR.
Since then, Molech Blythe has done social work with teens, children and families in Washoe County for decades. Recently, he says he got a calling to do even more.
This day's mission for members of New Revival Church is just one of many deliveries they are making to schools in Sun Valley.
Pastor Molech Blythe says he and members of the newly founded non-denominational church are here to lift up an often neglected community;
“We are just here to show the people, you are just as beautiful as anyone else - you are not defined by anyone else's description."
And it's no mistake that BEAUTIFUL is the word Blythe uses to describe Sun Valley.
"We've heard scum valley, we've heard the largest trailer park in the world, we've heard where felons and sex offenders are."
And he flat refuses to accept those stereotypes. Molech says over the past few years he came to a deeper understanding of why he was created;
"God was showing me that even in my worse state - because I've done some bad things in my life - he still loved me, he didn't judge me, and He was calling me to experience his love through relationship."
And relationship is the cornerstone of New Revival Church, where Molech is the senior pastor. They just opened their doors on February 9th, 2020, in the heart of Sun Valley - when one month later, the pandemic shut them down.
"We say okay, God can never be handcuffed. How do you continue to bless them and show them His great love?"
Outreach and donations in Sun Valley are how Pastor Molech and members of the church are doing that- and Sunday services on Facebook.
And as for racial justice...
"I love being black, I'm a black man. I appreciate the skin color that God has given me."
...There, also, Pastor Molech sees the hand of God - and the power of relationship.
"You would be surprised to know that we are more similar than we are different"
