Nevada Football announced the addition of 25 student-athletes to the program during Wednesday's first day of the February signing period. Combined with six additions during December's early signing period, first-year Wolf Pack head coach Jeff Choate's "RenoVation 2024" signing class is now at 31 announced.
The Wolf Pack added six prep signees while announcing 19 four-year and junior-college transfers.
The class reflects the diversity and representation of the Wolf Pack coaching staff, with signees hailing from 19 states. While 11 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, are represented by one signee, states with multiple Wolf Pack signees are led by Texas (four), California, Pennsylvania, and Washington with three apiece, and two apiece from Arizona, Georgia, and Illinois.
“I’m super excited about this class of 31 young men who are joining the Wolf Pack, and 23 at midyear. It involved a lot of heavy lifting from a lot of people to get them in. And I can’t tell you how hard our staff worked to get this done,” Choate said. “One of the hallmarks of this class--17 of the 31 are guys who played at the line of scrimmage. That’s where it starts for us. We’re can’t wait to get these guys rolling.
“One guy who stands out to me is Kiton Crawford, and what he brings to the table. As just a flat-out athlete, not just what he’s going to bring on defense but he could return kicks and punts for us, might run a little fly sweep for us every now and then. Everyone’s going to want to focus on the quarterback position, but I think we just added depth and talent at every position and we’re excited about that.”
