Seth Jarvis blasted a one-timer past Carter Hart at 3:56 of overtime to lift the Carolina Hurricanes past the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. It was a breakthrough for Jarvis, as well as for a power play that had sputtered through the postseason. Carolina rallied from a 2-0 deficit and got a pair of power-play goals, including one from Jordan Staal on a redirect that gave Carolina a 3-2 lead. The best-of-seven series is now tied 1-all with Game 3 in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes combined for five goals in the frantic final 15 minutes of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final and had another one waved off. It began with Logan Stankoven getting Carolina on the board with 9:40 left in regulation to cut a two-goal deficit to one. It ended with slumping Seth Jarvis scoring in overtime to even the best-of-seven series. In between, Mark Jankowski scored his first of the playoffs, John Tortorella challenged for goaltender interference, Jordan Staal ended the Hurricanes' power play drought and Mark Stone tied it again in the final minutes.
