Humboldt County arrest

A man is facing several drug-related charges after investigators discovered multiple substances, including suspected fentanyl, in Grass Valley.

Nickolas Andrews was arrested following the execution of a search warrant by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office Tri-County Special Response Team, in conjunction with the Trident Narcotics Task Force.

The warrant was carried out after extensive investigation conducted by the Trident Narcotics Task Force, in collaboration with other local agencies according to a release from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office.

In their search officers discovered and seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, anabolic steroids, prescription controlled substances, and numerous other items related to the possession and distribution of controlled substances.

Andrews,36, was found outside the home driving his car and was arrested after a traffic stop.

When he was taken into custody, a stolen 9mm handgun and suspected methamphetamine were seized after allegedly being thrown from his car.

He was taken to the Humboldt County Detention Center where he was booked on charges of possess methamphetamine 14-28 grams, possess fentanyl, possess schedule III, IV, V, destroy/conceal evidence, possess firearm by prohibited person, possess dangerous weapon, possess stolen firearm, and possess drug paraphernalia.

His bail was set at $80,640.
