Reno Police say they have arrested two men in connection with a series of burglaries in Midtown Reno. 

Police say they were able to identify one of the suspects after finding stolen property at a local pawn shop. 

Police say 32-year-old James Alvarez rammed unmarked police cars as he tried to flee officers near South Virginia Street and Regency Way on Thursday night. But, police say he crashed the stolen SUV and was taken into custody.

Authorities say a short time later, Alvarez's accomplice, 24-year-old Cesar Rivera was found in the same area.

Police say both men will be charged in connection with multiple burglaries which include the Antique Mall, Bangkok Cuisine, and Blue Salon. 

The investigation is ongoing.
