Three people were arrested on Wednesday in a mail theft and bank fraud investigation in Lyon County.
On July 11, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of fraudulent bank activity from a victim outside the county.
The victim reported unauthorized transactions on their bank account totaling over $6,000 in withdrawals.
At around the same time, residents in Stagecoach reported missing mail from mailboxes in their neighborhood.
Through a combination of victim cooperation, banking documentation, and video surveillance, suspects involved in both the bank fraud and mail theft were identified, the LCSO said in a release.
On July 16, members of the LCSO Investigations Division, Major Crimes and Special Investigations Units carried out a search warrant at a Stagecoach home, finding evidence in the mail theft and fraud cases in Stagecoach and Dayton, the LCSO said in their release.
As a result of the investigation, three people were arrested.
Solana Hughes-Dickson faces charges including use of identifying information causing harm, and conspiracy to commit fraud. Her bail has been set at $102,500.
Tiffany Ann Monson faces charges including conspiracy to defraud another and obtain and use personal identity information of another for unlawful purposes. Her bail has been set at $32,500.
Joshua Daniel Schultz has been charged with mail theft and conspiracy to defraud another. His bail has been set at $7,500.
