Multiple agencies came together this week to help an injured mountain biker in Galena Creek Park.
The rider had crashed, suffering serious injuries including broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a fractured clavicle, according to a social media post from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office search and rescue team was joined by REMSA Health and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District in responding to the incident.
Rescuers hiked approximately .75 miles up the trail, where the rider was located.
The rider was taken to a hospital for additional care.
