The Lucky Motel, a longtime fixture on Reno’s East 4th Street, is undergoing a full renovation supported by a multi-million-dollar financing package from NV Capital Corporation.
NV Capital Corporation has closed financing for the acquisition and extensive renovation of the Lucky Motel, located at 1011 E. 4th Street in Reno.
The borrower, FBGM Investments LLC, secured two loans through NV Capital to fund the project: a $2,050,000 first-position loan and a $1,012,000 second-position loan.
The 23-unit, 8,555-square-foot property was originally built in 1954.
A portion of the funds will support a complete renovation of the motel, addressing structural issues caused by rotting and bringing a fresh, modern look to each room.
Renovation work is already in progress and is expected to be completed by mid-October 2025.
“We are excited to support FBGM Investments in restoring a landmark property that has served the Reno community for decades,” said John Blackmon, Broker and Owner of NV Capital Corp. “Investments like the Lucky Motel renovation exemplify our mission to provide creative financing solutions for projects that strengthen our communities and preserve local history.”
Once completed, the upgraded Lucky Motel will offer refreshed interiors, improved amenities, and modern infrastructure for both short-term and long-term guests.
