The Salvation Army will host its annual "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive on Saturday.

The drive will happen at four Walmart locations on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers with The Salvation Army will be standing outside the stores asking shoppers to consider purchasing school supplies inside to donate to the community’s neediest children.

The school supplies will be collected, sorted, and distributed in a variety of ways, including through The Salvation Army’s social services office and at The Army’s upcoming back-to-school shopping spree for 100 low-income children.

“This community always shows up to help,” said Major Randy Hartt, Northern Nevada coordinator for The Salvation Army. “There is also so much need here in Northern Nevada, so we are looking forward to a very successful Stuff the Bus this year, so we can help as many families as possible send their children back to school with the tools they need to succeed.”
