Nurses gathered in front of Saint Mary's to protest and call attention to the lack of PPE and demand better COVID-19 protection, including paid sick time and testing.

In a statement, Saint Mary's said "Saint Mary's is committed to protecting the safety of patients, providers and the community and remains in close contact with the Washoe County Healthy District and Center for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure proper precautions are followed."

That didn't seem to convince a lot of nurses. They say more can be done. They also say the lack of PPE puts them at a higher risk of bringing the virus home, and without the protection they need, they can't care for patients the way they wish to.

"I have a lot of anxiety in my life every day," says Katherine Dawson, a nurse.
