Safety Watch Q&A: Lyon County Safety

In the last decade, Lyon County has been considered one of the fastest growing counties in the U.S. But how do we make sure crime in rural Nevada doesn't increase as well?

Lyon County Sheriff, Al McNeil is here for tonight's Safety Watch Q & A.

He has a plan. And, let's just say - if you haven't read his weekly Facebook messages he doesn't mince his words when it comes to people causing problems in his jurisdiction.

So if you have questions or concerns for the sheriff, call 858-2222 between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. tonight

Sarah Moss asks -- "I would like to know if the sheriff will be adding new officers around Fernley, around school zones specifically?"

JoJo Cann wants to know - "if there will be better citizen response for calls... and more web-friendly information regarding admin organizational chart?"

Lastly, a few people made comments on our Facebook page about a "good ol' boy mentality" in Lyon County. Before you became sheriff, one viewer asked, "are there things you are doing to curb that feeling?"
