A Washoe County Deputy District Attorney has been relieved of his duties following his arrest over the weekend on charges of open and gross lewdness in Reno.

Kenneth Ching was arrested by Reno Police on Saturday and has since been released from the Washoe County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment next week.

In a statement, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Ching “was relieved of his duties as a Deputy District Attorney and is no longer employed with this office. The criminal case against him is active and being prosecuted by the Carson City District Attorney’s Office. As such, we will not be providing any additional comment at the time.”

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
