Windy and wintry weather is impacting roads across northern Nevada and the Sierra on Friday evening.
Chain controls are in place on stretches of I-80 and Mt. Rose Highway.
Meanwhile, vehicles over nine feet are prohibited on I-580 and U.S. 395 Alternate through Washoe Valley due to high winds, and caution is advised for vehicles over nine feet on U.S. 395 north of I-80.
