Thursday was Veterans and Military Day at the Legislature. It was a chance for those in the Legislature to pause and acknowledge those who served both past and present in our military.
Veterans were also given an opportunity to support legislation under consideration and weigh in on issues concerning veterans.
One person we talked to said it's a great gesture the Silver State does.
"It's a wonderful opportunity for veterans and active military to come together and be recognized by their state government and all of the associations that do good things for veterans," said Richard Shuster, a Veteran from the U.S. Navy.Â
The day consisted of various ceremonies to commemorate the service or our armed forces.Â
