Over a 24-hour period reported on June 12, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office helicopter Echo 1 rescued seven people in three separate incidents across El Dorado County.

According to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office in an online post, Echo 1 carried out rescues spanning three incidents across the region, involving stranded rafters on the Middle Fork of the American River, lost hikers in the Tahoe National Forest, and a hiker who fell more than 200 feet near Mt. Tallac.

Officials reminded people enjoying the outdoors to plan ahead, carry proper safety equipment, and be prepared for changing conditions.

The sheriff's office thanked personnel from the Placer County Sheriff's Office, El Dorado Search and Rescue, El Dorado County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services and the Fallen Leaf Lake Fire Department for assisting in the emergencies.
