Families across Northern Nevada will have the chance to enjoy a free evening of music, entertainment and fireworks later this month at Greater Nevada Field.
The Community Summer Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Greater Nevada Field, home of the Reno Aces, at 250 Evans Ave.
The event is part of Artown 2026 and is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The celebration will feature live performances by local bands along with an exclusive streamed presentation of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square's "Songs of Hope" concert.
The concert was recorded during the choir's two-night return to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 24 and 25. Guest artists include Donny Osmond, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Stephanie J. Block, Sebastian Arcelus, and the Bonner Family.
The Hollywood Bowl performances marked 100 years since the choir first performed there in 1926. The concerts also served as a benefit, with 100% of ticket sales donated to CARE, Helen Keller Intl, and The Hunger Project. The Church matched the ticket revenue to double the contributions supporting women and children worldwide.
The Reno celebration will also include a stadium scavenger hunt, face painting, carnival games, activities for children and teens, concessions, service opportunities, and a fireworks show inside the stadium. Informational booths from the Red Cross, the Kiwanis Club, FamilySearch, and JustServe will also be available.
Organizers said the event is intended to bring the community together for an evening of fun, hope, and inspiration, and all people are welcome.
Admission is free, but tickets are required (reserve your spot by clicking here) and available while supplies last. Greater Nevada Field has a clear bag policy, does not allow outside food or beverages, and is cashless. Limited stadium parking will be available for $10 plus tax.
