The strongest solar flare of the year so far has brought severe geomagnetic activity to large portions of Canada and several U.S. states.
Nevada is among them.
2 News Nevada viewers emailed in photos of the phenomenon and shared them on Facebook.
Auroras from the solar storm could be visible as far south as Florida, according to scientists interviewed by CNN.
Officials say the geomagnetic activity reached level G4, which is the second-highest level.
