For people that have a tough time hearing but are not completely deaf, the City of Reno has a headset that allows people to listen to city hall meetings and adjust the volume to their liking.

There is even an option for people who can't hear at all.

The device is called the Ubi Duo 3.

It is used to access government services like acquiring a business license or paying a parking ticket.

When arriving to the second floor of Reno City Hall, just let someone know you can't hear, or are hard of hearing and they will bring two small laptop like devices.

One for the employee and one for the visitor.

Whoever is helping you out will type something along the lines of "how can I help you?"

Whatever they type on their screen will appear on yours.

You then tell them what you need help with, and you can go back and forth all without having to say or hear a single thing.

There is also an app you can download and connect to your headphones or hearing aid.

The app is called "Listen Everywhere".

After you download it and arrive at city hall, you must first connect to the assistive listening Wi-Fi.

When you have the app open, click the big blue button that says, "venue scan" and the chambers audio should pop up immediately.

Click that audio and you will be able to connect your headphones and adjust the volume to your liking.

If you're interested in using these devices, you can find them at Reno City Hall.
