The Reno Rodeo Association donated a total of $100,000 to 10 community organizations today at their September association luncheon, thanks to the proceeds from their 50/50 raffle at the 2024 Reno Rodeo.

Reno Rodeo's 2024 President Carrie Ann Sattler presented checks to the following organizations on behalf of the Reno Rodeo Association:

  • $4,755.90 to Communities in School
  • $10,343.30 to NMSA
  • $16,020.69 to Washoe County 4-H
  • $15,063.89 to the Center for Adaptive Riding
  • $6,284.69 to Horsemanship for Heroes
  • $8,181.29 to Man Up Crusade
  • $18,946.29 to Truckee Meadows Fire
  • $7,112.09 to Eddy House
  • $15,783.49 to Moms on the Run

According to the Reno Rodeo Association, 50/50 raffle tickets are sold each night of the Reno Rodeo. Half of the proceeds go to the person who purchases the winning numbers at the end of each night and the other half goes to a designated charity.

They say charities were chosen based on community impact, level of need, and commitment to furthering rodeo culture.
