A concrete truck driver was arrested this week in connection with a deadly crash that happened last April in north Reno.
The accident happened on April 29, 2014 on Highway 395 south near the Golden Valley Road exit.
Troopers say the truck driver, James Spencer, slammed into two vehicles, including a SUV carrying a toddler, which then triggered a chain reaction crash.
Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers say the toddler died in the crash. A family friend has identified the child as three-year-old Samara Redding.
Five other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
53-year-old Spencer was arrested on Tuesday, and booked into the Washoe County Jail on misdemeanor charges of vehicular manslaughter and failure to decrease speed or use due care.
