Secretary Alex Azar tweeted out that as a result of discussions between the Trump Administration and Gilead Sciences, Inc., Gilead is agreeing to make a donation of HIV prevention medication for up to 200,000 individuals.
Azar says the agreement will provide pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to treat individuals who are at risk for HIV and who are uninsured.
He says this includes areas in the states and countries identified as priority areas in the Trump Administrations plan to end the HIV epidemic in America.
