The University of Nevada, Reno is holding the annual State of the University address on Tuesday, September 20 at 4 pm.
University President Marc Johnson will be delivering the address at the Joe Crowley Student Union, Milt Glick Ballroom, 4th Floor, and says his message will highlight the University’s aspiration to deepen its mission of learning, discovery and engagement.
University officials say that with a fall 2016 record enrollment of 21,353 students, the University of Nevada, Reno continues to steadily grow in enrollment, excellence and reputation. This year’s State of the University address will highlight many of the accomplishments of the past academic year, but will look ahead and explain why the University is deepening its commitment to its institutional mission, how it plans to further strengthen ties to the community, by what means it’s providing the educated workforce the state of Nevada needs in developing emerging industries, and what priorities it has set regarding the 2017 legislative session.
