A University of Nevada student faces a property destruction charge after he was videotaped knocking over a table after a confrontation earlier this month on campus.

Authorities say 19-year-old Kevin Edsel II was booked into the Washoe County Jail on Thursday. He was also booked on a disturbing the peace charge.

The video was posted to Twitter on October 1, 2019 to the page of conservative group Turning Point USA Founder & President Charlie Kirk. In the post he claims he was targeted for his political views.

The University of Nevada released this statement to 2 News:

Edsel was arrested for Destruction of Property and Disturbing the Peace. He was taken to the Washoe County Jail. In general, University Police Services reports to the Office of Student Conduct, any student who breaks the law, to take any appropriate action.

The video shows Edsel asking Kirk about about his upcoming visit, eventually running off and tipping over the table.

The below Twitter video contains vulgar language, but the offending words are bleeped out.
