The US Marshals Service says a sex offender out of California was arrested in Reno on Monday.

Officials said Adam Campbell, a convicted sex offender, was wanted out of California on a state parole violation warrant.

They said in 2014, Campbell was convicted of possession of child pornography in Fresno and has a history of multiple arrests for state charges of failing to register as a sex offender.

Officials said the US Marshals Service, Fugitive Task Force located Campbell at a motel on Sutro Street and took him into custody without incident. They said it is assessing the case for a possible federal charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
