Due to this year's pandemic, organizers will hold the 24th annual Lake Tahoe Summit online Tuesday.
This year’s summit, entitled “Resilient Tahoe,” is hosted by Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and will be held virtually for the first time.
David Wise, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Reno native, will be the keynote speaker for this year’s virtual summit.
Other attendees include U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (R-CA) and Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and Governor Gavin Newsom along with several scientists and environmentalists.
The first summit was held in 1997 when President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore hosted a presidential forum.
U.S. senators from California and Nevada alternate hosting the event.
