You can help the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off win a USA Today award.
The Nugget Rib Cook-Off was one of the top 20 events nominated by BBQ experts in a quest to find USA Today’s “10 Best BBQ Festivals”.
“We want to put Reno-Sparks on the map as the home of the best bar-b-que festival in the country. We want to be number one, but Rib Cook-Off can’t win unless the community rallies behind us,” said Lisa Jansen, Director of Special Events and Entertainment with the Nugget Casino Resort. “Vote daily, or several times a day if you have access to more than one computer.”

“We all know Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off is the biggest and best BBQ festival in the country,” Jansen said. “This is great recognition for the event and we can win this contest because we live in such a supportive community. We appreciate everyone’s vote.”
The 2016 Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off will be held at the Nugget Casino Resort from August 31 – September 5. The six-day event attracts more than 500,000 people as 23 of the world’s best cookers will serve up more than 241,000 pounds of ribs.
