This graphic only shows daily records, and not all time records.Â
Twenty four daily records have either been tied or broken this year already, and last year at this time we only broke twelve. Majority of the records are for warm daily highs, but we also broke a couple records for amount of snow, and tied one as well. Thirteen daily records were broken in March alone, mainly for daytime highs. We also broke the all time record for warmest temperature in March with a high of 88 degrees on March 20th.
Twelve daily records have broken so far this year at the Reno Airport for daytime highs. This graphic only includes daily records. Reno also broke eight daily records for warm lows this year.Â
Even though it was a warm winter, Reno did break two daily records for amount of snow this year. One on February 17th with 7.7 inches, and the other on February 19th with 4.0 inches. Reno also tied the daily record of a trace of snow last Sunday.Â
Both 2025 and 2024 weren't nearly as record breaking, with only 12 daily records broken or tied through May.Â
Twenty six daily records were broken in 2005, but majority of them were for snow depth.
