Two young locals are coming together this holiday season to help feed the hungry.
For 13 years, Keinan Herman and Cyrus Moassessi have set up a coffee stand in their neighborhood and donated all the proceeds to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to help the hungry in their community. This year they’re back at it again!
They will be set up from 9 a.m.- noon on Saturday. The yearly coffee stand will be located at 12755 Valley Springs Road in Reno, as it has been for the last twelve years.
Friends, neighbors and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada have all watched these young men grow up as they continued their efforts to help their neighbors in need. Both are in college now but have decided to keep up the tradition.
Starbuck’s now donates the coffee for the stand and most of the baking is done by the Keinan and Cyrus (with a little help from their moms). Their efforts have provided many thousands of meals throughout the years.
