Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District says that smoke in the area is from the distant fire in Monterey County and Santa Clarita area.
The smoke is coming from the Soberanes Fire in Monterey County which is 10,200 acres and from the Sand Fire which is 22,000 acres near Santa Clarita.
There are no fires currently burning in the local area.
