Washoe County Regional Animal Services is hosting a free rabies vaccination and microchipping clinic for pets on Saturday in Sun Valley.
The clinic is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sun Valley Neighborhood Center at 115 W. Sixth Avenue.
Washoe County Regional Animal Services will have their Mobile Command Center on-site along with their contract veterinarian and staff members to assist with rabies vaccinations and microchipping.
Free rabies vaccination and microchipping are available to all Washoe County pet owners.
A grant provided by Maddie's Fund has covered the costs associated with the rabies vaccinations and the microchips.
“Animal Services is grateful for the unwavering support of Maddie's Fund,” said Animal Services Supervisor Bobby Smith. “We appreciate their commitment to the welfare of our community as well as the animals that play such an important role in our lives.”
