Andrew Nepsund joined the KTVN team in October 2018Â as the weekend sports anchor/reporter.
Andrew comes to Reno from KLST in San Angelo, Texas, where high school football reigns supreme and the temperatures would climb near 110 degrees in the summer. Now don't get it twisted, he enjoyed his four years quite thoroughly in West Texas, but he is glad to be in a spot where it's much cooler (and snows).
Andrew is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he double majored in broadcast journalism and history. During his time at Texas Tech, he was a broadcast reporter and the electronic media editor at The Daily Toreador, the university's student-run newspaper. After having the privilege of covering Texas Tech sports, he decided to pursue a career in sports broadcasting after graduation.
After living in San Antonio, Texas, for a majority of his young life, Andrew is arguably one of the biggest Spurs fans you will find in the state of Nevada. It is also one of the biggest reasons why basketball is his sport of choice, even though he has love for all sports the known world has to offer.
When he's not inhaling sports, you can find Andrew attempting to lift weights, watching the History Channel, or trying to figure out why his car engine is making weird noises.
