The Nevada Department of Transportation will be conducting avalanche controls on Mt. Rose Highway starting at 9 a.m. according to NDOT spokeswoman Meg Ragonese.
At that time road crews will begin avalanche controls at the Mt. Rose summit near Mt. Rose Highway, she said.
The road will be closed in both directions for 30 minutes while controls take place according to NDOT.
