The Biggest Little Dog Park is ready to open its fences in downtown Reno. The public is invited for the ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Organizers of the ribbon cutting say the construction of Phase 1 of the project is complete. They are now beginning fundraising for Phrase 2. They'd like to install wind screens, benches, dog agility features and other upgrades to improve the overall experience in the park for both dogs and their owners.Â
Organizers mentioned this on their Facebook event page: "A special thanks goes out to the Marie Crowley Foundation, Eldorado Resorts Reno, Dennis and Sherron Elledge, Dorothy and Chi Chi Bengochea, and Mike and Darlene Arnold for their significant donations. A list of the many community sponsors, and more information about the park, are available at tmparksfoundation.org."
The dog park is located at 151 West Commercial Row in Reno.
