UPDATE: The Tahoe Keys Property Owners' Association said the boil water notice for the Tahoe Keys has been lifted.


The Tahoe Keys Property Owners' Association says there is a boil water notice for Tahoe Key residents as of Monday.

Officials said a well experienced an electrical failure, which caused a loss of water pressure. They said due to this event, residents should only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution.

Officials said they anticipate receiving results of water testing by late afternoon on Friday or sooner, and will notify property owners when it's safe to drink.
