UPDATE: Caltrans says the high-profile vehicle prohibition for a portion of US-395 has been lifted.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) said there is a high-profile vehicle prohibition in place along US-395 on Monday.
Officials with Caltrans said trucks, campers and large loads are prohibited from traveling on US-395 between Bishop and the Nevada State Large.
They said high-profile vehicles traveling north on US-395 should detour to US Highway 6 in Bishop.
Officials with Caltrans said a High Wind Advisory is also in place between Olancha and Bishop on US-395. They said debris and sand blown by winds can pose a significant threat on the roadway.
Drivers are advised to slow down and proceed with caution.
Officials with Caltrans also want to warn drivers of Caltrans crews and other responders working in the area.
