The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating a late night drive-by shooting that injured a passenger inside a car.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Tuesday on I-580 south near the College Parkway exit.
The victims told deputies they were heading southbound when a black Lexus drove by their car and fired five shots into the passenger side door.
A man in the car was shot in the hip. The woman driving was not hit.
She was able to drive to the hospital and the man's condition is unknown.
