Just after midnight on June 13, Carson City deputies were called to an apartment complex at 900 East Long Street for reports of someone with a knife.
911 Operators were told the suspect said he was going to “kill everyone”.
The Carson City Sheriff's Office says the suspect had stabbed one woman who barricaded herself in the bathroom and the suspect was holding a knife to the throat of another woman.
Deputies were confronted by the suspect once they got inside the apartment and they shot the suspect during the confrontation.
Paramedics treated the stabbing victim at the scene and they were taken to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center with minor knife wounds.
The suspect was care flighted to Renown.
All people involved are said to be family relatives.
This is being investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The deputies involved were placed on routine administrative leave pending the investigation and wellness clearances to return to duty.
