Elko County Moves Forward With Jail Expansion

Elko Police are investigating after a man found a pipe bomb along the railroad tracks earlier this week. 

Police safely destroyed the device which contained gunpowder but no ignition trigger, but they are still questioning the unidentified man who found it.

    

Investigators say he drove to a location near White Rock Road before calling police.

Elko Police officers were called to help dismantle the device.
